The following guidelines have been prepared to assist research institutions to prepare research projects for funding by BCID Fund.
The Cattle Industry Development Council recognizes that preparing a good research project takes both time and money without any assurances that the project might be approved for funding. To assist in the process, CIDC will now accept a letter of intent as the first stage in considering an application for funding assistance. If CIDC accepts the letter of intent, it will provide approval in principle for the project and invite the applicant to submit a more detailed application for funding for evaluation and assessment and final approval. Approval of the letter of intent does not ensure research funding. Final approval lies with the Cattle Industry Development Council.

Step two would follow the approval of the Letter of Intent. The agency involved would be invited to submit a completed research proposal. The following guidelines are to be used when submitting this complete proposal:
